LS Central 26.0: Hotels, bookings, and staff management

LS Central 26.0 was released on April 10th, 2025. In this blog, we’ll cover some of the newest updates and changes for hotels, bookings, and staff management.
Newest enhancements to LS Central for hotels
We’re always evolving to better support hotels, resorts, spas, and beyond. Here’s a look at the latest enhancements in LS Central for hotels designed to make your daily operations smoother and more efficient.
Accommodation tax profile now available to include multiple tax types
Managing accommodation taxes just got easier. With the latest update in LS Central for hotels, you can now create accommodation tax profiles that cover various tax types, like country tax, city tax, or any other applicable fee or service charge.
You can choose to include these taxes in the room rate or apply them separately per night, per guest, or both. Each tax line can also have a defined validity period, helping you plan ahead for upcoming changes. You can also upgrade the tax functionality for existing reservations.
Edit hotel rate directly from Rate Info page
It is now possible to edit hotel rates directly from the Rate Info page. This process makes it easier to adjust rates (and derived rates) quickly for either a specific rate code or a specific room type.
Search for a reservation within the Tape Chart
You can now search for reservations faster within the Tape Chart. You can search for a name, telephone number, or room number.
Creating a new reservation after midnight
You are now able to create new individual or group reservations after midnight with an arrival date set for earlier the same day.
While the arrival date can be in the past (for those post-midnight check-ins), the departure date must still be in the future.
If the selected rate code includes activities, any scheduled for the arrival date will now automatically shift to the day the reservation is made, so guests won’t miss out, even with a late booking.
Easier room allocation on Reservation List
A new Allocate Room action is now available on the Reservation List subpage within the Hotel Group Reservation Card. This gives you greater flexibility by allowing you to assign rooms to specific confirmed reservations right from the list.
Even better, when checking in guests from this subpage, rooms are now allocated only for the selected reservations, instead of applying changes across the entire group.
Smoother navigation when changing reservation status
Now, when you create a New Group Reservation and set the status to Confirmed, you'll get a prompt asking if you want to open the confirmed reservation right away — no more searching or navigating back.
Also, when you're viewing an individual reservation from a filtered list and make a change that no longer matches the filter, the system will stay on the current reservation instead of jumping to the next one. This way, you stay focused and in control without unexpected page shifts.
Better overview of revenue lines on Hotel Invoice Management page
The Hotel Invoice Management page now offers a clearer overview of revenue lines with several usability improvements. The filter on the Paying Reservation No. column has been removed, and a dynamic style now highlights the Reservation No. in red when it doesn’t match the current reservation on the page — making discrepancies easy to spot.
The confirmation dialog when changing the Paying Reservation No. for a single line has been removed for a smoother workflow, and the final message showing the number of records changed has been replaced with a standard Business Central notification. Tooltips for both the Reservation No. and Paying Reservation No. columns have also been improved for better clarity.
More control of reference numbers on Hotel Sales Invoice
Two new fields have been added to the Hotel Setup, letting you choose which Hotel Reservation details should appear in the Your Reference and Ext. Document No. fields on Sales Invoices. You can select from options like Reservation No., IATA Commission No., External Reservation No., Guest Name, or Guest No. These options come from a new list (enum), which can also be extended and customized by third parties if needed.
View Folio Totals in Multiple Currencies on the POS
It’s now easier to support international guests at checkout! Folio values on the POS are automatically shown in the default currency set by the hotel or general ledger. But now, with a new drop-down menu, you can quickly switch to another currency, instantly updating the folio totals. This makes it simple to show guests exactly how much their bill is in the currency they’re most familiar with.
Improved usability in the Hotel POS template
We’ve made the check-in and check-out buttons in the POS web template easier to find and use, making guest handling smoother. POS menu buttons can now be removed to simplify the interface. Plus, a new Open Activity Card action lets you quickly access and edit activities linked to a hotel reservation, right from the POS.
Get key group details at a glance
The group template header now gives you a clearer overview by showing the payment status (when a paymaster is assigned), the reservation status, and the number of room types in the group reservation. With all this key information in one place, managing group bookings is much faster and easier.
What’s new in Bookings for LS Central
Discover the latest updates and exciting new features in Bookings for LS Central, our powerful reservation management add-on.
Simplified group reservations process
Creating group reservations on the Bookings Host POS is now a lot easier. We’ve replaced the old, click-heavy process with a smoother, more flexible flow. Now, a new panel opens right on the POS, letting you quickly select the number of people and create the reservation in just a few clicks. You’ll also get a clearer view of each group reservation—along with the activities included—so managing bookings is faster and more intuitive.
Easier appointment adjustments on Bookings Matrix
Changing the duration of appointments has gotten much simpler. On the Bookings matrix, you can quickly adjust the start and end times with a simple pop-up window—making it faster and more user-friendly. Whether it’s a quick change or a longer session, the process is now smooth and intuitive.
Option to apply specific discounts on additional charges
Now you can apply customer-specific sales prices and discounts to group and reservation additional charges (like retail products). This new feature makes it easier to offer personalized pricing, while fixed prices on additional charges remain unaffected by these discounts. Tailor charges to each guest with greater flexibility and precision.
Easier to maintain course schedule
The updated Schedule page, accessible from the Reservation card now displays the weekday name alongside each schedule entry. Plus, you'll see the total number of resources reserved for each date, making it easier to keep track of availability at a glance.
New features in the Events card
On the Events Card, you can now add a detailed description with the new extended text field, making it easier to provide all the event details. Plus, to help with event planning, we've added customizable attribute entries, so you can create your own fields tailored to your needs. For even more convenience, you can now quickly access the Item Reservation Summary page from the Events card’s Related menu.
Enhanced search view for streamlined access control
The Search page in the Bookings role center just got a major boost with new, reception-friendly features to simplify access control. Users can now easily access the Comments and Booking Matrix and quickly create new reservations or memberships directly from the page.
Search results have expanded to include membership and admission (tickets) data, along with the ability to validate a member’s access based on location and the current date/time. You can even register admissions to track multiple access tickets, seasonal passes, or double ticket usage. And the admission validation now supports multi-entry tickets, ensuring no double entries, while the access control API mirrors this validation for seamless ticket checks.
Updates to Staff Management for LS Central
We have made some updates to Staff Management for LS Central, our advanced workforce management add-on .
Simplified salary entry in bulk
The Time Acceptance subform now supports standard multi-selection, allowing you to quickly accept or reject multiple salary entries at once. And with the new Accept All and Reject All actions, you can handle large batches of entries in no time, helping you streamline your workflow.
Easier hour editing on individual roster assignments
Editing of individual roster assignments in the Staff Rosters page has been enhanced. On the Staff Rosters page, you can now access the Edit Employee Hours page directly from the Assist Edit button on any employee’s roster line. The previous Edit Hours action now lets you update all employee hours on the same list page. You can also change an employee's role, as well as adjust start and end times, all in one place. For even more convenience, FactBox information has been added to give you key details while editing hours.
